Mirage...

Wrapped in shadows
I don’t want the sun to rise,
Let me dive into hollowness
I don’t want to open my eyes

I sense my spirits soar
And my hands touch the skies
Let me drift in emptiness
I don’t want to open my eyes

I see smiles, I hear giggles
They are mine, I realize
Let me rest in happiness
I don’t want to open my eyes

As I stray away from truth
The world around slowly dies
Let me believe in falseness
I don’t want to open my eyes

I am losing my existence,
As the time flies,
Let me fathom this restlessness
I don’t want to open my eyes

I feel puzzled and distressed
This mirage my mind denies
Let it not be foolishness
That, I don’t want to open my eyes

For what is not real is ephemeral
Just a game of truth and lies
Let me dream in consciousness
With closed and open eyes…

A world full of nothing...

No moon shining
No stars twinkling
It’s a dark night
And a sky full of nothing

No ships sail
Just the waves wail
It’s a stormy weather
And a sea full of nothing

No seeds sown
No roots grown
It’s a barren field
And an earth full of nothing

A thoughtless mind
A zestless body
A numb soul
And a fist full of nothing

Broken hearts..

It was empty, it was sore
Until the fruits of love it bore
Awakened to the oldest lore
To live, the heart must adore

Eyes like priceless pearls,
Deep into the ocean belonged
My heart plunged to conquer
To own, my life longed

Time stood still, emotions stirred
My heart ached for his embrace
A wandering soul, unearthed its path
To my mind, I found solace

If I were wise, I would know
Not always a dream is true
Matters of heart are not solitary
To love, it takes two

In my bare hands, I buried face
For tears made it gleam
What I yearned, he did not
To my heart, I said don't dream

Somewhere a flower bloomed
Somewhere a river dried
Somewhere a cloud gloomed
Somewhere a heart just cried

The masterpiece!

Petals bunched in the marigold
Have each a tale to tell
Of all the best traits and talents
Those make up a damsel

A gentle stream flowing over gravels
Enlivens the unborn greens
And from the cliff, her water falls
On the ground below serene

A lone palm in the desert stands
Where all travelers rest
Wrap her shade and journey across
Yet on her loneliness, they jest

A peak cutting through the clouds
Eludes the naked eyes
To climb high to her heart
It takes more than a several tries

Wings spread like an eagle
Flies high in spirit and soul
Undeterred by the forces of wind
As she takes on the world whole

On the damp marshlands
She stands poised like a heron
An aspiring artist's fantasy,
And His masterpiece...A WOMAN!

The Journey

A known destination
A familiar journey
A different time
And a clouded mind

A race for space
A ditch to dodge
A turn and halt
And a fresh start

A choice of path
A crossroad crossed
A fall and rise
And a steady ground

A rag to a rich
A drive to bridge
A date with fate
And the highway wind…

Musings

Eyes focused, unwavering
Not a blink
On the figure ahead
In the antics they sink
Fathoming, unassuming
From far they seem to think
Oscillating as a pendulum
The rhythm sets in
A few creases on the temple
On the palm rests the chin
A Penseur’s face
And a mild grin
Words flow by
In a whirlpool drown me inside
Hands move time
My thoughts wander miles
White pages, blue ink
A contemporary art style
A corner yells, another whispers
I continue immune
In my deep slumber
Nothing but it awakens
The evil called attendance!!!

Walking through life

Walking by the sea
Hearing its silence
Listening to its roars.

Walking on the wet sand
Leaving the prints behind

I halt and turn
To track them back
But the waves of time
Have washed them away

Walking along the sea
On the wet sand
Leaving the prints 'behind'
'Listening' to the silence
'Hearing' the roars.
